About the Book
Betty Elza’s book, Revolutionary War Patriots of Clarion, Jefferson, Armstrong, and Venango Counties, which she did for the Clarion County Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, details the patriots who came to this section of western Pennsylvania after the war and settled in the area, received pensions here, died and were buried in one of these counties. The book is a hardbound book of 162 pages that gives information about the patriots’s service, the names of his spouse(s) and children, and where he is buried. It is illustrated and indexed with directions to the cemeteries where the patriots are buried.
About the Author
Betty Elza was born in West Virginia but has lived most of her life in Pennsylvania. She has a Master of Science in Library Science and worked as a high school librarian for many years.
She has been involved in research most of her life. This work is a culmination of some of her recent research allied to genealogy. Her biographical sketch is included in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World.
